Join experienced broom maker Becka Viets of Hexagon Textile in learning to make a turkey tail broom. Class will include supplies and instructions to make a one hand broom and will include some broom lore and history of use, a demo and then hands on broom making.
Becka will also have extra supplies on hand if you’d like to purchase for making a broom on your own, as well as a selection of pre-made brooms to enjoy.
Recommended ages are kids 10 and up, and adults of any age. Class lasts 1.5- 2 hours.
Physical abilities needed: grasping, holding, turning/rotating, maintaining tension between a stick under feet and a broom in hands.
Cost sliding scale $60-80.
