Handled Broom Class

Learn to make a handled Shaker style broom. We will cover the basic of broom making and beyond with this class. This class will teach how to wrap a handled broom, weave broomcorn and many finishing details. Class is 4 hours with tea & snack break. Tea and broom folklore is included.
Class is limited to 6 participants. Moderate grip strength is needed to make a broom as well as hand foot coordination. Please wear sturdy flat shoes, bring a snack and mug.
Supplies included in class fee
1/2+ pound broomcorn, broom spindle wrapped with nylon twine, broom handle, tea.
Necessary specialty tools for handled broom making class- broom clamp, broom needle.
Class, supplies and tools to keep $185.
Class, supplies and tools to use and return $150.
Extra broomcorn and tools will be available to purchase.
