The Garden Collective Project
April 4 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 1:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until October 3, 2020
The Garden Collective
Rather than being a single community gardener, let’s gather together and garden as a community! Learn, grow and share the bounty in this 8 month introduction to gardening.
We’re launching a new program and we’re looking for some families and individuals to join us. Utilizing Permaculture systems and methods, and growing a larger quantity of fewer crops, we are able to focus our efforts, streamline our work and share in the bountiful fall harvest of storage crops (think potatoes, onions, dry beans and squash, crops that don’t need daily tending). We’re aiming to gather greenhorns and greenthumbs who would like to grow food as a community, learning and teaching one another. We will be led by a team of experienced garden mentors to guide us through the planning, prepping, planting, tending and harvest.
The group will meet monthly on the first Sat.of every month from 1-3pm to tend the garden and do large group projects, then mid month, watering and smaller tasks that can be handled by a household or two will be assigned.
There is a $50 cost per person to participating. This will help cover supplies and water fees. Each person will get their share of the harvest.
If you’re interested, sign up to get more information on how to get involved. We’ll be in touch soon.
