Learn to make a handled Shaker style broom. Join Becka Viets of Hexagon Textile and Broom to learn more advanced broom making. This class will teach how to wrap a handled broom, weave or plait broomcorn and sewing up the face of broom. Basic hand broom making class is HIGHLY recommended before this more advanced class. We will make tea during class so please bring a mug. Class is 3.5 hours. Limited to 6 participants. Supplies to make one handled broom & use of tools included in class fee. Additional supplies and tools are available for purchase. Note- students may ring their own broomstick. I do provide broomsticks. If you want to bring your own broomstick to class please email me for details and approval. Moderate grip strength is needed to make a broom as well as hand foot coordination. Please wear sturdy flat shoes, bring a snack and mug. *Please review class policy and refund information before signing up for class. Class sliding scale $200-250
