Successful Beekeeping in Whatcom County

Michael Jaross teaches this 8-week course which focuses on his own methods for keeping honey bees alive, healthy and productive in the conditions and challenges we currently face in Whatcom County.

Michael has been keeping bees for 20 years and has never had to buy bees or queens to replace losses. He is a sustainable beekeeper, producing all the bees and queens he needs in his own apiary.

He writes, "With my field-tested techniques, I believe every new beekeeper can succeed right from the bee-ginning. This is the most comprehensive beekeeping class in Whatcom County. We've had a full class most years and it's filling up this year."

Registration is now open. Limited to 15 participants.
The class meets at the Chuckanut Center Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:30 starting March 4th 2025; last class April 22nd.

Tuition: $325 non-refundable. Checks or cash.

Pre-register with instructor: michaeljaross@gmail.com
