Soul Medicine Through the Seasons: Samhain

Soul Medicine Through the Seasons: Samhain

Returning to a resilient and vibrant relationship with the earth calls us to remember that we live in cycles; the earth has a rhythm through growth, decay and rebirth, and so do we. In Soul Medicine through the Seasons, we reflect through song, nature based connection, and visual journaling (an interweaving of art and writing) on how our inner rhythms are moving in relationship to the season of the year. At Samhain, we honor that which is ready to release into compost with the question "what is decaying in me?"

We will enter into our time together as a space of ceremony to honor the season. I will guide us in a song/chant as we gather. We will have a brief introduction to the season, followed by an outdoor wander or sit that will invite you to notice and listen to the more-than-human ones. I will offer drawing and writing prompts to reflect and bring insight to what is alive in your inner season. We will end with space for optional sharing. It's time to live in rhythm with the earth.

This event is co-hosted by Monika Burkholder with her dear friend, Summer Starr, spirit worker and a guide for people to find their own relationship with the ancestors and the unseen. You can find more about her work at www.makingkin.com

Suggested donation: $15-40. No one turned away for lack of funds.

This series on Monday evenings will delve into Breast and Hormone Health from a holistic perspective. Participants can also enjoy tea, hormone-balancing snacks, and access to videos showcasing specific Qigong practices. In mainstream culture, breasts are often seen in a sexual or medical context. This three-part series will help you explore new perspectives and the therapeutic effects of harmonizing energy flow and emotional strength. Join us in discovering nurturing self-care routines for your overall well-being, including your breast health.

Join us on 9/30, 10/14, and 10/28 from 5-7 PM at the Chuckanut Center in Fairhaven. With limited space for 8 participants, early registration is recommended.  *25% of proceeds will be donated to Planned Parenthood who offers free breast screening in our community.

Women's Healing Dao - Series

Women's Healing Dao - Series

Join a Circle of Women for a relaxing afternoon at the Chuckanut Center in Fairhaven.

Healing Dao Instructor Caryn Boyd Diel will guide you into a 14 month program of Daoist Studies and Healing Practices.

Taoist practices are deeply imbedded in the manifestation of spiritual knowledge into the material plane. The human body, in every cell, is the recipient and transforming vehicle of the practices.

Taoist alchemy cannot live on a piece of paper or in a book. Taoism is not fully alive unless it is flowing through all nature, including women and men.

Join me for a year of nurturing your Yin and balancing your Yang energies as we meet monthly to study and practice what has been known for thousands of years.

$48 per class, or $675 for the entire 14 month period, payable to Caryn Diel. Save $50 if you enroll for the entire 14 months. Classes are drop in but please register 2 days prior to class to receive handouts and directions to classes.
